Events

We will be revealing our launch events in our Sengoku Release article. Stay tuned for our article on June 1, 2023!

New Feature: Unit Mastery

[Unit Mastery] is a brand-new unit growth system available alongside existing features. A unit's mastery gradually unlocks as you level it up, enabling you to increase its attributes and alter a unit's skills or mechanics.

The first units to receive mastery are:

  • Pike Militia
  • Prefecture Guards
  • Mace Sergeants
  • Palace Guards
  • Halberdier Sergeants

Unit Mastery Access:

You can access [Unit Mastery] when checking the details of a unit which has mastery available (the list above. Alternatively, you can use the filter in the top right of the Barracks to quickly see which units mastery is available for.

[Unit Mastery] will be available for level 36 or above Warlords.

Scrolls of Mastery:

To level up [Unit Mastery] for Infantry Units, you will need to use [Scrolls of Mastery] in both Uncommon and Rare rarities, which can be earned from:

  • PVE Mode - [Mastery Commander]
  • Honour Store
  • Special Limited-time Events

For Mace Sergeants, you will need to use a special version of the [Scroll of Mastery] known as [Scroll of Mastery: Mace Power] which are available via the Tutorial and the Honour Store.

Unit Mastery Levels:

Levelling up units unlocks more [Unit Mastery] levels for them to master. There are 8 mastery nodes per unit.

New Solo PVE Mode: Mastery Commander

Mastery Commander Access:

Press [J] to access the Matchmaking menu, then select [Mastery Commander] under PvE Battles.

Mode Information:

[Mastery Commander] is comprised of two phases:

  • Phase 1: Occupy the supply point to start Phase 2.

  • Phase 2: Defeat the enemy’s leader to win.

Reward Chances:

You will receive one reward per day for winning [Mastery Commander]. You can accumulate across days, up to four times. Rewards will no longer be obtained after the upper limit is exceeded. 

Example: This means that if you do not play Mastery Commander on Day 1, 2 or 3, you can complete it four times and receive rewards for all 4 days on Day 4.

New Feature: Honour Store

You can purchase items for Honour in the Honour Store.

Honour Store Access:

The Honour Store will unlock once your warlord reaches level 100.

Navigate to the Unit Tree [U] to access the Honour Store.

Honour Store Information:

Purchase limits reset weekly.

You can purchase the following items from the Honour Store:

  • Uncommon Scroll of Mastery
  • Rare Scroll of Mastery
  • Uncommon Scroll of Mastery: Mace Power
  • Rare Scroll of Mastery: Mace Power
  • Mace Sergeants Unlock Token
  • Mace Sergeants' Protection Doctrine

Battle Pass

A new Battle Pass has been added to the Seasonal Menu (F5), this time themed around legends from Feudal Japan.

Seasonal Units and Unit Challenges:

3 new Units have been added to the Seasonal Unit Challenge Interface (F5). You will be able to access them throughout the Season.

Unit Release Dates:

  • Ronin (3-Star) - June 1, 2023
  • Onna-musha (4-Star) - June 12, 2023
  • Orochi Samurai (5-Star) - June 26, 2023

The Naginata Monks (3-Star) is also available from June 1, 2023 as part of the Mercenary interface.

ADJUSTED CONTENT:

New Player Tutorial

We've updated the tutorial, meaning that players who join after the launch of the Sengoku season get to experience different tutorials.

New Players (Sengoku Season):

  • Characters created after the Sengoku Season launch will no longer have access to [Hero’s Journey].
  • Instead, you will be able to complete new main and side quests (including new tutorial PVE levels).
  • You will be able to access the new [Progress Pass], which includes Login Rewards, Drillmaster's Trials and Drillmaster's Rewards.
    • By logging in each day, you will be able to earn all Login Rewards.
    • Complete the Drillmaster’s Trials quests and you will gain progress on the Drillmaster's Rewards tracks, granting you loads of useful items.
  • Newly created characters will no longer get to choose a unit from the tutorial, but instead will unlock the Mace Sergeants by completing the new main quests. Both veteran and new players will in effect unlock the same number of units of identical rarity throughout the new and old tutorials.

Unification Changes:

  • We are removing the War Scholar Quest granting a 4-Star unit with the Sengoku Season.
  • We have removed the previous “tutorial” sign-in event.

Veteran Players:

Nothing will change in terms of the tutorial for characters created before the Sengoku Season. You will still have access to the [Hero’s Journey] (F4).

You will be able to purchase the 3-Star Mace Sergeants from the Honour Store.

Ranked Battles

Ranked Battles will be starting on June 2, we will be adjusting the Map Pool for Ranked Battles a couple of weeks into the season. Stay tuned for a survey on our official Discord server.

Ranked will continue to be played at the same times as the Eternal season. You can check the Events page in-game for more information.

Seasonal Store

  • Starting from the Sengoku Season,antique attires themed around the Helheim Season attires will be added to the store where they will receive a 20% [Blades] discount.
  • Paragons-themed Antique attires are no longer discounted and their cost has reverted to their original price.
  • Highlanders-themed Hero and Unit attires have been removed from the Seasonal Store.

Seasonal Runes

We have refreshed the Seasonal Runes in-game as part of the F5 menu.

Character Customisation

We have added 15 new appearances. Simply use a [Disguise Kit] to change up your appearance with the new options available. For players above level 40, you will be able to head to the Warden to receive a free [Disguise Kit] for the season launched.

Deploy & Defend

Increased the rewards of Deploy and Defend:

  • Victory now grants 4 [Uncommon Doctrine Wisdoms] (previously 2) and 2 [Chests of Random Wisdom] (previously 1)..
  • The daily loot cap for both [Uncommon Doctrine Wisdoms] and [Chests of Random Wisdom] remains unchanged.

Shared Units Reset

When the Sengoku season launches, shared units will be reset

BALANCING ADJUSTMENTS:

Weapons:

We have reevaluated the role of each weapon and made a series of changes to the set effects of epic hero schematics (3-set effects remain unchanged).

Shortsword & Shield:

  • 2-set effect: [Ironsides]'s cooldown is reduced by 2 seconds.
  • 4-set effects: [Ironsides] no longer debuffs but instead replenishes health once over

Glaive:

  • Improved the feel of the two first [basic attacks] and the timing of their hits, enabling you to wave them more comfortably into other attacks and skills.
  • 2-set effect: [Warlord's Greeting]'s cooldown is reduced by 2 seconds.
  • 4-set effects: [Combat Dismount] grants crowd-control immunity for 2 seconds.

Longsword & Shield:

2-set effect: [Knightly Vows]' cooldown increased by 3 seconds.

4-set effects: Crowd-control immunity during [Ultimate Skill] and [Clash of Shields]' duration extended by 2 seconds

Poleaxe:

  • 2-set effect: [Weapon Dance]'s damage and movement speed reductions are increased by 75%.
  • 4-set effects: Crowd-control immunity and 10% increased health during [Ultimate Skill].

Maul:

  • Fixed an issue where [Combat Dismount] didn't grant immunity to Dazed.
  • 2-set effect: [Mountain Breaker]'s cooldown is reduced by 2 seconds.
  • 4-set effects: Skills consume 20% less stamina.

Spear:

  • 2-set effect: [Lugh's March]'s duration increased by 3 seconds.
  • 4-set effects: [Mounted Right Click]'s stamina cost is reduced by 15%.

Nodachi:

  • 2-set effect: [Bloodbath]'s duration increased by 2 seconds.
  • 4-set effects: Crowd-control immunity during [Combo Strikes]. ([Combo Strikes]: [Basic attacks] inflict special effects.)

Pike:

  • 2-set effect: [Swift Like The Wind], [Strong as a Storm], [Shock Attack] and [Immovable as a Mountain]'s duration increased by 1 second.
  • 4-set effects: [Cold Dragon] and [Green Dragon]'s cooldown is reduced by 1 second for each enemy hit, up to a maximum of 6 seconds.

Musket:

  • 2-set effect: [Blackpowder Grenade]'s cooldown is reduced by 3 seconds.
  • 4-set effects: [Deploy Caltrops] quantity +2.

Bow:

  • New weapon feature: Armor penetration against units increased by 36% but reduced by 36% against other targets.
  • [Flaming Arrow]'s cooldown increased to 15 seconds (was 12), and the spread slightly increased.
  • 2-set effect: [Marksman]'s duration increased by 1 second.
  • 4-set effects: [Basic Attacks]' damage increased by 25% and armour penetration by 10%.

Short Bow:

  • 2-set effect: Duration of [Poison] and [Bleed] from skills increased by 1 second.
  • 4-set effects: Damage interval of [Poison] and [Bleed] from skills reduced by 0.2 seconds.

Dual Blades:

  • 2-set effect: [Alchemical Vapours] and [Hide] grant invulnerability for 0.4 seconds.
  • 4-set effects: Killing a hero resets the cooldowns of all skills except for your paragon skill, and reduces the cooldown of [Infiltrator] by 30 seconds.

Chain Dart & Scimitar:

  • 2-set effect: [Trap Prey]'s cooldown is reduced by 3 seconds.
  • 4-set effects: [Stinging Strike]'s target quantity +1.
