Liao’s Rangers:

After releasing Liao’s Rangers, we began collecting battle data and player feedback and have decided to make the following changes:

  • Reworked the ‘Bludgeon’ skill:

Before

The unit uses its weapons to their full potential, bashing enemies in melee and firing at point-blank range.

The soldiers wield their fire lances like bludgeons, dealing area damage and knockback. During this period, they are immune to Dazed.

SERVER TRANSFERS

Migrating players who have requested to transfer from the Cloudwing Valley (West) server to the Eagle Range (East) server.

OPTIMISATIONS:

Lion Store and Quartermaster Donations:

We have received feedback from the community regarding the donation of resources and it is our goal to further improve upon this feature in future version of the game, therefore in this weeks update we will be making the following changes:

  • Added additional information to the Collect Resources info. You can now see the 6 weekly donation requirements: 500, 1,000, 1,600, 2,100, 2,800, and 3,600.
  • Adjusted the amount of Lions you get upon completing a donation. It is no longer subject to any randomization, and for each of the 6 donations you will get the following amount of Lions: 55, 110, 175, 240, 310, and 440, for a total of 1,330 Lions.

In future versions, will be adjusting the donation requirements depending on the situation in Ostaria, so be sure to check the donation requirements each week.

As a reminder, you needn’t worry that it is too difficult to acquire Lions as they can also be earned from Clear Ruins event which is available in open-world and matchmaking interface. From January 4th, warlords will also be able to rebuild ruins to earn even more Lions.

Quests Improvements:

  • Adjusted the completion requirements of the quest ‘A Hungry Winter’. Previously you had to collect 10,000 Food on the World Map, this has now been changed to acquire 10,000 Food (viable sources: World Map collection, buying from the Market or defeating bandits).
  • Reduced the difficulty on some weekly quests.

Suggested Market Price Changes:

  • Equipment without attributes will have their suggested price limited on the Market. Such a restriction is not in place for rare equipment or better with attributes.
  • As ‘Treasures’ have a rather high donation value, we have increased their suggested price cap in the Market to 10,000 Silver Coins.

We’ve updated various user interfaces in-game to fit with the Seasonal Theme.

Character screen now includes snow to fit with the Seasonal Theme:

SHARED UNIT XP:

Shared XP can be used to level up your units, this experience isn't tied to a specific unit and can be used across all units.

  • Your Shared XP pool has an upper limit of 1,000,000 XP. Once this limit is reached, further Shared XP cannot be earned.
  • When taking a unit that has not been fully levelled up into battle, you will gain an additional 10% Unit XP that will go into the shared pool.
  • When taking a fully levelled unit into battle, all XP earned will go to the shared XP pool.
  • Signacula can be salvaged at the War Scholar where they will give a Blank Signaculum which can be traded for a Unit Medal

You can identify the amount of Shared XP you have by navigating to the Unit Barracks ("U") and looking in the top left hand corner of the screen.

When you want to add Shared XP to a unit to level them up, select the Unit you want to level up in your Barracks and press the little + symbol next to their experience bar, which appears on the top left of the screen underneath their name and level.

From here, you can specify how many levels you want to level them up by, if you do not meet the required amount of experience, you will be unable to increase its level.

Once you are happy with the amount of levels you want to apply to the unit and the amount of experience you want to use, click the "Use" button.

DYNAMIC WEATHER

We have improved the Weather system in Season VI: Scourge of Winter, weather will now play a greater role than ever before. We have given each region specific climates befitting their geographical locations and different weather effects will have a greater or smaller chance to appear depending on the climate and whether or not it is spring, summer, fall or winter (by the in-game clock). For example, winters see Ostaria covered in snow, whereas in Anadolou will be experiencing rainfall.

  • Ostaria:  Hot and humid during the summer; cold and arid during the winter. Affected by the harsh winters, the entire land of Ostaria is overcome with snow.
  • Ungverija: The northern parts are affected by the harsh winter, and is wrought with snow. Summers in the south are hot and arid, winters temperate and rainy.
  • Anadolou: The northern parts are hot and arid in the summer, and temperate and rainy in the winter. The southern part, the desert, is arid all year round.
  • The Borderlands: The northern parts border on Ostaria and are also affected by the harsh winter. Much of the south lies on a higher altitude and has complex weather.

Snow on the World Map is no longer a decoration, Warlords who travel snowy regions will have their movement speed reduced and areas with snow will no longer be able to supply itself with food rations. Movement speed can be increased by consuming Winter Ale (found at the Quartermaster).

Changes to the weather will also affect fiefs (including Territory War), so different strategies will have to be adopted depending on the weather conditions.

Fief’s weather can be checked via the World Map, when selecting a fief you can see the weather identified underneath the fief level.

ARTILLERY CHANGES:

Notable changes:

  • Reduced the health, damage and ammo of uncommon, rare and epic artillery.
  • Reduced the central explosion damage radius of mortars and cannons, lowering overall lethality against units.
  • Reload time changes: The order has been changed from uncommon > rare > epic to uncommon < rare < epic. Reduced the interval damage of high-level artillieres.
  • Reduced the accuracy of some artillery as they were too precise (ballistae).
  • Reduced overall damage and, for balance’s sake, improved the aim of Mortars.
  • Muddled out the peripheral view when aiming with artillery. This makes it more realistic and hampers players view.
  • Changed the deployment time of all artillies.
