New Player Event: The Training Yard videos

Following on from the recent barrage of Training Yard community livestreams (the second of which is scheduled for May 28), we’re happy to bring you the first batch of video guides designed to complement what’s been learnt so far. Again, these have been produced by some of the most celebrated community content creators and, to help you back into your chair desks, they focus on what are considered to be the easiest weapon classes to master, the Glaive and Spear.
 

GLAIVE
 

The first video is by Coffee Fuelled Gaming, aka GlynGG, who likes to infuse his tips, unit reviews and guides with a good bit of humour. For this video he’s gone all out to enhance the destructive strengths of the Glaive at the cost of increasing its fragility.

This Glaive guide from a member of the Turkish community starts with a general overview for newcomers to the weapon before looking at various skill combinations and trying them out.

SPEAR
 

In the same vein as the Glaive guide above, this video tutorial takes us through an introduction to the game’s pointiest weapon, before selecting the best skills to use for a series of duels.
 

Known for helping out players with his insightful explanations of units and game mechanics, Unfit Chaos takes some time out of his busy schedule to deliver a pointed explanation of Spear mechanics and tactics.
