Previous Seasonal Patch Notes

I - II - III - IV - V - VI - VII - VIII - IX - X

Update - 26/05/2022

NEW CONTENT:

  • Activated Year Three Anniversary Events

  • Activated Year Three Anniversary Sales

  • Extended the NA-SA Siege Drops to end on June 9th (previously June 2nd)

OPTIMISATIONS:

  • Improved the UI prompt when near interactable artillery, enabling you to see the reload progress of allies’ artillery.

  • Improved the icon of the Premium Account

WARLORD BALANCING AND OPTIMISATION:

Warlords can now use [Sprint Attack] even if they don’t have enough stamina, but doing so expands all remaining stamina. This affects the following weapons: Pike, Spear, Glaive, Poleaxe, Dual Blades, Nodachi, Maul, Shortsword & Shield, Longsword & Shield.

Right-click attack while mounted previously consumed 600 stamina. Now, hold down to ready your weapon at the cost of 300 stamina per second and an extra 500 when you release to attack. You can still attack even if your stamina drops below 500.

[Sprint Attack]’s stamina cost is increased to 250 (was 185) for all weapons.

BUG FIXES:

WARLORDS:

  • Fixed an issue where no [Health Drain] was gained when a Nodachi’s skill was interrupted too quickly.

  • Fixed an issue where the attack would fail if you fully charged up the Spear's right-click attack while mounted and ran out of stamina.

  • Fixed an issue where the attack would fail if you fully charged up the Pike's right-click attack while mounted and ran out of stamina.

MISCELLANEOUS:

  • Fixed an issue where warlords could get stuck at some places on [La Grande Gloire].

  • Fixed an issue where the colour of team members was displayed incorrectly on the map when pressing TAB.

  • Fixed an issue where the icons for flag and supply points where too big when having the minimap set to ‘Nearby’.

  • Fixed an issue where the fog would disappear when switching between camera settings.

  • Added an epilepsy warning when loading videos in the game.

  • Fixed an issue where forging icons would disappear if you entered the Forge menu repeatedly within a short space of time.

Update - 28/04/2022

WARLORD BALANCING AND OPTIMISATION:

Nodachi

The Nodachi with its unique mechanics is loved by many a Warlord out there, but its lack of defensive options makes it difficult for it to survive against high-tier units. Couple that with its somewhat lacking mobility and rigid skill combos, it has a hard time shining in the current meta.

To make it more feasible for Nodachi users to deal with a greater variety of situations, we're improving some skills and their usage, as well as making “Bloodbath” a more important part of its toolkit.

Bloodthirsty

  • Cooldown adjusted to 9/9/9 seconds (was 9/8/7).
  • Improved upon mobility feel. Increased move distance to 5.5 meters (was 5).
  • Hits now grant 1 stack of "Bloodlust" (was 2).
  • Using a skill during “Bloodbath” increases all defences by 30% for 5 seconds.

Fearless & Steadfast

  •  Using a skill during “Bloodbath” grants immunity to crowd control for 2 seconds.

Samurai's March

  • Increased block damage of the first strike to 649 (was 430).
  • Decreased block damage of the second strike to 374 (was 600).
  • Grants 25% increased armour penetration during “Bloodbath” and increased block break by 350 for the first strike.

Tiger's Claw

  • Cooldown reduced to 15/14/13 seconds (was 20/18/15).
  • Health recovery reduced to 600/750/900 (was 600/900/1200).
  • Attacks now knock enemies back.
  • Grants 2 stacks of "Bloodlust" upon hit.
  • “Tiger's Claw” damage increased by 20% during “Bloodbath”.

Monstrous Blade

  • Grants 1 stack of "Bloodlust" upon use.
  • Increased critical value by 125/175/225.
  • No longer consumes "Bloodlust"/”Bloodbath” and no longer heals yourself.

Blood Oath

  •  “Blood Oath I & II” grants 1 stack of "Bloodlust" upon use.
  •  “Blood Oath III” grants 1 stack of "Bloodlust" upon use (was 2).

Dragon's Leap

  • Changes to Skill Charge-up:
    • Once poised to strike, hold down a skill button to charge it up at the expense of stamina and release to strike (or when all stamina is expended). Charging up a skill to 1 or 2 seconds increases its damage and effects.
    • Strikes will now only have extra special effects when charged up for at least 2 seconds.
    • Armour penetration and block break increase the longer you charge up the skill.
    • You are immune to crowd-control effects when using skills during “Bloodbath” and this no longer expends “Bloodbath”.
    • Charging up less than 1 second endows the skill with knockback, less than 2 seconds with knockdown, and more than 2 seconds with thrown.

Avalanche

  • You are immune to crowd-control effects when using skills during “Bloodbath”.

Combat Dismount

  • Grants 1 stack of "Bloodlust" upon hit.

UNIT BALANCING AND OPTIMISATION:

Claymores

  • In the current meta, we spotted that with the “Fearless Heart” of Claymores, players are likely to earn overrated Assist Points, resulting in some bad in-battle behaviour.
  • Now we’ve reduced the multiplier for Claymores to gain Assist Points via “Fearless Heart”.

Silahdars

  • Usage Rate: 0.035%

  • Rank 93 Among All Units

While the Silahdars skills deal quite a bit of damage, it is difficult to get a chance for them to attack in the current meta. So, we're making changes to their fundamentals so that they can attack periodically while also increasing the effectiveness of each attack. We're also boosting their ground combat capabilities while retaining their weakness against burst-damage cavalry and ranged units.

Characteristic Changes:

  •  “Ingenious Armour” Buff: Will quickly recover from dazed or crowd control after every 3rd hit they take, after which they take 26% reduced damage and become immune to interrupts for a short while.

Skill Changes:

  • Reduced the duration of “Deathstrike” and “Decapitate” to 6 seconds (was 8), while increasing the rate at which these attacks are triggered.

  • They will no longer attack on the spot if there are enemies nearby when using “Deathstrike” or “Decapitate”, and will instead move toward the enemy and attack once they get in range.

  • Improved the attack algorithm of “Deathstrike” and “Decapitate” so that they attack earlier.

  • “Decapitate” attacks will now daze units.

  • “Deathstrike” no longer sends enemies flying but knocks them down instead.

  • Basic attacks no longer trigger the attack effect of “Decapitate”.

 Azaps

  • Usage Rate: 0.18%

  • Rank 70 Among All Units

The Azaps are very difficult to use, especially getting the full use of “Counterattack” and “On Watch”. When these two skills aren't capitalized on, they fare worse than the Palace Guard.

So, we've decided to reduce the usage difficulty of the Azaps and boost their balance of offence and defence when using skills, while also boosting their overall manoeuvrability.

Attribute Changes:

  • Block recovery rate is increased to 50/sec (was 40).

Skill Changes:

  • “Counterattack”:

    • Will enter a defensive stance upon use for 7 seconds. Using this skill again during this time will have them launch a counterattack. Or they will counterattack automatically when blocking.

    • Cooldown reduced to 21 seconds (was 27).

  • “On Watch”:

    • Blocks for up to 3 seconds, after which they will launch a round of attacks against the enemy.

    • Cooldown reduced to 23 seconds (was 26).

 Sipahis

  • Usage Rate: 0.13%

Sipahis are a fairly powerful unit when it comes to breaking the enemy's defence in team battles after the changes to them. However, their position in battle is still not clear enough, and they don't bring enough assist score points compared to how well they contribute in battle.

And so, we're boosting their team battle potential as well as increasing the Assist Score their skills gain.

  • Reduced the cooldown of “Burst” to 25 seconds (was 35).

  • Hitting an enemy with “Burst” and then again with “Trample” within 5 seconds will stun them for 4.5 seconds. Enemies stunned will take 50% increased damage (won't stun heroes but the damage increase applies).

  • Increased the Assist Score gained when the Sipiahis stuns enemies.

Janissaries

  • Avg. Damage Rank: 52; (Incendiary Archers at rank 51; Rattan Vipers at rank 43, and Rattan Marksmen at rank 47)

Incendiary Archers, Rattan Vipers and Rattan Marksmen (all 3-star ranged units) are able to debuff the enemy and therefore gain plenty of assist score. However, while the Janissaries Hackbuteers should have the upper hand in terms of damage, they are performing worse than other similar units. And so we are increasing their damage.

  • Each shot fired after using “Prepared Volley” increases the rate of fire by 12% and damage by 7%, reaching the maximum after 3 rounds.

  • Larger bullets fired during “Prepared Volley” have had their knockback interval on units reduced to 10 seconds (was 24) and damage increased by 16%.

  • The damage loss rate of all bullets is reduced by 33% and damage loss is now capped at 21% (was capped at 27% before).

Demesne Spearmen

The Demesne Spearman has too low attack power even after the March 31 changes and their skill cooldowns are too long for them to feel good to use.

  • Reduced the cooldown of “Pure Attack” to 13 seconds (was 17), increased armour penetration by 33% and reduced attack interval by 30%.

Demesne Pikemen

  • New Trait “One For All”: Applies “Impeding Force” to cavalry 3 times in succession, startling horses for 1.5 seconds.

Hitbox Changes for Spear & Pikeman Units

Spearmen haven't been able to counter cavalry well enough since the beginning, and especially so for low-tier spearmen. And so, we are making some changes to spearmen and pikemen to enable them to deal with cavalry better.

  • Damage hitbox length reduced by 9% in Brace and Stand Firm formations.

  • Attack hitbox length extended by 15% for Brace and Stand Firm. The attack prediction area expanded so that they attack earlier against charging cavalry.

Units affected by these changes:

  • Imperial Pike Guards

  • Halberdier Sergeants

  • Halberdiers

  • Pike Militia

  • Demesne Pikemen

  • Village Watchmen

Maps:

La Grande Gloire

  • Adjusted the path outside of Point A on the map

Miscellaneous:·

  • Improved the animation for the season unlock.
  • Blocking unit attacks has now been added to the battle score system.
  • Now warlords can read rules for some event maps on the [J-Matchmaking] page:
    • Rules will be displayed when you are first-time playing a map or clicking “Rules”.
  • We’ve improved the descriptions for Fief Quests rewards:
    • “Other Rewards” now is “Extra House Territory Rewards”.
    • “Construction Reward” now is “Current Fief Construction”.
  • Now Veterancy Points can be quickly applied to multiple stages on the Units (U) page by holding “ctrl”.

BUG FIXES:

Units:

  • Resolved an issue where the health recovery of "Paladin Piety Doctrine" "Battle Prayer" didn't work as intended.
  • Resolved an issue where the “Chevaliers” retinue “Tenant Farmers” wouldn't attack while in Line Formation.
  • Resolved an issue where the Banner Guards couldn't plant their banner under some circumstances.

Miscellaneous:

  • Resolved an issue where players can only get info for one badge when there are multiple badges in one seasonal challenge quest.
  • Resolved an issue where previous seasons' unit challenges would still show invalid leadership requirements and reduced-price tags for Resupply.
  • Resolved an issue where no numbers were shown for the final rewards of each stage of Hero's Journey (F4).
  • Resolved an issue where players cannot claim the “General Growth Pack” from Hero’s Journey (F4) when using Maul.
  • Resolved an issue where the Retreat button would sometimes be displayed in the House Battle menu.
  • Resolved an issue where the results menu would sometimes get stuck.
  • Resolved an issue where the Attire Chest background would sometimes remain static and not change.
  • Resolved an issue where models weren't shown for some items in the Attire Shard store.
  • Resolved an issue where the health bar hit animation of Warlords and Mounts wouldn't display correctly when taking high damage.
  • Resolved an issue where the highest resolution wasn't chosen per default when launching the game for the first time.
  • Resolved an issue where the Unit button on the pathfinding bar would sometimes display a yellow prompt when it shouldn’t.
  • Resolved an issue where the necks of some units would disappear when wearing the “Gendarme Company Armour”.

Update - 22/04/2022

  • Unit Trial
    • With the April 22nd update, we will be issuing “7-day Liao's Rangers Contract” x1 and “7-day Shieldmaidens Contract” x1 to Warlords who have logged in during the past two weeks.

OPTIMISATIONS:

EARLY-GAME IMPROVEMENTS

We have made a series of changes to the “Hero's Journey” and adjusted the levels at which some features become available to improve the early-game experience.

Hero's Journey

  • Added more content to the four different paths of the Hero's Journey (F4).
  • Improved the rewards available in Hero's Journey.
  • Added a “Go-To” button to Hero's Journey challenges. Click this button to access the relevant menu or start pathfinding for that NPC.

Those who have previously activated Hero's Journey will be able to fully experience all its content again and receive rewards for doing so after the maintenance.

Story Quests

Owing to the above changes related to the “Hero’s Journey”, we will be removing Story Quests and Side Quests related to these.

Warlords who have already accepted or completed the related quests will be able to undertake the new story quests and be rewarded for doing so.

Warlords who have not completed the related Story Quests (Not Hero's Journey) before the update will be issued rewards for those they have not yet completed.

OTHER IMPROVEMENTS & CHANGES

New Player Boost

Badge Improvements

  • The difficulty of acquiring certain badges does not match the actual experience in matchmaking. And so, we're readjusting badges to make their acquisition conditions clearer. We will also be adding more badges in the future to better reflect each Warlord's outstanding performance in battle.

Edited Content

  • We've fully reformed badges: iron-quality badges should be easily acquirable by most Warlords, silver-quality ones require a manner of luck or high skill, whereas gold-quality badges require outstanding performance.
  • Common Badges that previously spanned all modes will now be Common PvP Badges.
  • We've adjusted the acquisition conditions and badge quality for Siege Battles, Field Battles and Deathmatches.
  • PvE will have its own set of badges obtainable from any PvE mode (including Expedition, Bandit Raid’s and future PvE event maps).
  • We've removed map-specific badges.

Miscellaneous Improvements

  • Added the “All” tab to the Wagon tab under “Inventory” (I).

  • When creating units at the barracks under “Barracks” (U), units you have not yet created will be filtered by default.

Visual Improvements

  • With the start of Conqueror’s Blade: Paragons a number of visual adjustments and improvements have been made, including changes to the “City Map” (Tab)/”Battle Info”, “Barracks” (U), “House/Cohort” (N) and “Campaigns” (F5) Menus. These changes made to the overall visual style should be simpler, clearer and easier to use.
